Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart--Austria |
The design of the allegro movement of Wolfgang Mozart’s “Horn Concerto No. 2” is a rondo—a main theme is repeated with contrasting themes in between. In a concerto a solo instrument is accompanied by an orchestra. This music was not written with a story in mind, but the French horn by its very nature sounds like a horn used in fox hunts which may cause the listener to imagine ideas or pictures—and that’s okay! | |
