COLOR COMPOSITIONS

After learning about quarter rests and adding DO to our pitch repertoire, students created their own simple compositions using these concepts.   First they put a quarter rest, quarter note or paired eighth notes in each box, then they put a pitch in each circle.  Finally they colored their boxes using one sound colors (red, blue, green) or two sound colors (yellow, purple, orange) to match the sound of the note(s) in the box.  The teachers played each composition on MIDI keyboard into Finale Notepad music software and printed them.
